The road maintenance contract is valued at NZ$130 million over four years and will provide road maintenance services across Auckland Transport’s south western region. The contract term can be extended for two years plus a further two years giving the contract a potential value of NZ$260 million.
Auckland Council has also awarded Downer OSM contracts covering all park, playground and sports field maintenance for South Auckland rural and urban areas. These contracts are worth NZ$70 million over five years and have extensions of three years plus a further two years giving a total potential value of NZ$140 million.
The Facilities Maintenance contract from Auckland Council is worth a total potential value of NZ$24 million over three years, with the option to extend for a further four years. It incorporates electrical, plumbing, carpentry and mechanical services. This includes air conditioning for a wide range of buildings, from council offices to community facilities and residential properties.
All of these contracts confirm Downer as a key supplier to the wider Auckland Council.
