Scope of contract work: Routine inspection and maintenance of all sealed and unsealed roads, sealed and unsealed car parks, footpaths and shared pathways, bridges and major culverts, foreshore boat ramps and jetties, and storm-water pits and open drains. Annual resurfacing and minor construction works to achieve specified performance levels.
Exceptional outcomes: By proactively suggesting and exploring alternative contract models with the Mornington Peninsula Shire Council the SLR contract was assessed by an independent assessor as saving more than 25 percent by overcoming procurement inefficiencies and unlocked significant value. More significantly than this one-off milestone, the contract has delivered on its objectives by delivering exceptional outcomes to the client and community through cooperation and collaboration. Industry recognition of these exceptional outcomes can be evidence by the contract’s receipt of the IPWEA Australia (Victorian Division) Excellence Award for Innovative Practice/Service Delivery.
